David Raya is regarded as one of the most modern and technically complete shot stoppers in European football. Raya made his name at Brentford, where he stood out in the Premier League for his exceptional distribution, composure under pressure, and ability to play as a sweeper-keeper. His performances earned a move to Arsenal in 2023, initially on loan before becoming permanent, where he has since competed at the highest level of English and European football, contributing to strong defensive performances in Premier League and UEFA Champions League campaigns. In the 2025/26 season, Raya’s performances in the Premier League helped Arsenal win their first Premier League title in 22 years and also finished runners up in the 2026 UEFA Champions League. At international level, he has been part of the Spanish national team since 2022 and was part of the squad that won Euro 2024 and the World Cup in 2026.
